Nigeria: Open Heart Surgery Continues in Enugu

[Daily Trust]Enugu -The U.S.-based VOOM Foundation has commenced a partnership project with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku-Ozalla, in Enugu State to reactivate its Cardiovascular surgery center where open heart surgeries were performed. The surgeries were suspended 10 years ago on account of the hospital's movement from its old site within the Enugu metropolis to the permanent site at Ituku-Ozala, a distance of about 15 minutes drive from Enugu.
